You people can come across some url's like http://goo.gl/ZUfIi . When click on links like this you will get the website that is hosted on other name. These are the short url's for the original ones like masks or alias.
This can create by any one there is no restrictions like you have to log on to your account etc., Every one can create this urls. This makes the urls simple and easy to share.
The only thing you have to do is just go to this link http://goo.gl and in the box 'Paste your long URL here:' type or paste the URL which you would like to make short. And then click on 'shorten'. That's it your short URL will appear besides the 'Shorten' Tab.
